The Transfiguration of Jesus is one of the most transcendent, yet bizarrely neglected, events ever recorded in myth or sacred tradition. Perhaps this is because it sounds mystical in the extreme, even preposterous, like the story of a genie out of a bottle.
Midway through his ministry, Jesus took three disciples and slipped off secretly to a high mountain on the borderland between the human and Divine. He had something to show them. Read more...

It is an impressive fact that Nashville, Tennessee, my home, is the only city in the world that has reinterpretations of two mythic temples from antiquity. Both are among the finest in existence.
One temple is the “Queen of Heaven” Athena’s Parthenon.
The other is a $55 million 2,200-foot long rod laid out and growing on 19 acres. It's a moment University of Washington astronomy professor and NASA astrobiologist Dr. Don Brownlee awaited for nearly two decades. It may also be a moment prophets have awaited for millennia.
That moment arrived on January 15, 2006 when after billions of miles of travel through space the Stardust spacecraft (‘Brownlee’s dustbuster’) returned to Earth after a 7 year mission with a cargo of fine stardust. Read more...
