THE PSYCHEDELIC SON OF MANNA

THE PSYCHEDELIC SON OF MANNA

Give us this day our daily bread’. Matthew 6:9-13

For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world’. John 6:33

In my article, Orion: The Starwalker and the Son of Man, I compared the Christian references to Jesus as the Son of Man with the Egyptian references that link this term with a supernatural ladder to Orion and the sign or seal of the Starwalkers. Here, I will go one layer deeper and consider an additional Son of Man reference that points to this as a term for a digestible entheogenic or psychoactive miracle ‘food’; in fact, the original, sacred and holy one, that enables one to see this ladder and commune with the angelic beings who traverse its steps.

Big bite.

As we will read in detail momentarily, the reference is recorded in John 6:51-59. Previously in John (1:51), he said the Son of Man is a ladder with angels ascending and descending upon it.

Now, Jesus calls himself manna, stating that he is the Son of Man and the Son of Man is a bread / substance that comes from heaven. He calls it True or Real food and connected it to the miraculous food that sustained Israel both physically and spiritually during their wanderings with Moses  in the wilderness! In the extraordinary episode recorded in Exodus (16:19-36), Moses told the Israelites that after consuming the miraculous manna substance (described as ‘bread’ that tasted like honey) they would see the glory of God.

“Glory” (rhymes with ‘glow ray’, as in glowing rays), is a theological term for a higher dimensional Light; one that is represented by the rainbow. Seeing, feeling, and experiencing the Glory of God is the purpose of the psychedelic sacrament. It seems one must be in an altered visionary state to have this ascension experience.

Ezekiel sees the Glory of God, a luminous rainbow surrounding a humanoid figure on a Throne.

Ezekiel saw it during his revelatory experience. “Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord” (Ezekiel 1:26-28). As I discuss in Chasing Rainbows, God’s rainbow appearance is the ‘image’ of God in which humans are made.

Jesus embodied this glory.“We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).

Salvador Dali’s ‘Last Supper’ portrays Jesus as part physical, part ethereal and surrounded by a rainbow light.

Jesus radiates the glorious rainbow light body in Dali’s masterpiece.

John further states that Jesus turned water into wine as “the first of his signs, in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory” (John 2:11).

He promises to return some day “on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory” (Matthew 24:30).

All of these references to glory infer that the beholders were able to enter a higher dimensional space to see/feel/experience it.

Jesus enthrone in Glory, surrounded by the rainbow ring in John’s vision from the Book of Revelation. According to Paul, the glory of Jesus was to be beheld in a visionary ascent to heaven, where the glorified Jesus sat enthroned surrounded by a rainbow.

For decades, academics, notably Dan Merkur, author of The Mystery of Manna, have claimed manna is hallucinogenic / psychoactive. After consuming it one could ‘see’ the glory because, he posits, it contained ergot, a psychoactive fungus containing the same chemicals from which LSD is derived. Manna, says Merkur, was a psychedelic sacrament. Its holy purpose is to purify our hearts and open our eyes. “Blessed, indeed, are those with pure hearts for they will see God”, says Matthew 5:8.

The academic work of Merkur and others presents compelling evidence that the early Jews and Christians picked up the vine of Dionysus, the Greek god of wine/potions or pharmakon, and used psychedelics as part of their mystical spiritual practices.

It also illuminates the aims and spiritual practices of Jesus, the Son of Man, and his followers.

Pure hearts. Open eyes. Glory bound.

However, and this is exciting to me, my predecessors have not yet connected the term, the Son of Man, to an edible hallucinogen. We will explore this golden link here as we discover the Son of Man hallucinogenic edible is more aptly the Son of Manna.

Before we can swallow this we need a bit more backstory (honey) to help the medicine go down.

THE SET & SETTING

As I discussed in Mary Magdalene: The Illuminator (2005), the setting for the manna reveal is in Galilee. After his teacher and initiator, John the Baptist, was arrested and assassinated (by decapitation), Jesus made the Jewish village of Capernaum his base and often attended the synagogue there. This is when Mary Magdalene first met the man for whom she would soon bear the title, ‘Apostle of the Apostles’. From here, they traveled throughout the Galilee. They were led by the Mother Mary, the priestess who conceived Jesus parthenogenically, and Mary Magdalene, the Illuminator, whose vast knowledge of sacred plant medicine was contained in her alabaster jar.

Jesus apparently attracted large crowds, like a modern celebrity.

It was adios reality when he appeared. Known as a magi and healer, the people literally crawled over one another to see him perform miracles and healings and to hear (or see) his vision of the divine New Age and the Kingdom or Empire of Light to come.

His reputation as a magi who could raise the dead stirred the crowds into a frenzy. They came to see him and Lazarus, whom Jesus resurrected. (Jesus is also famous for raising the daughter of Jairus from the dead at Capernaum in Luke 8:41-53).

The first Christians portrayed Jesus as a magi raising Lazarus with a rod or wand. This rod has been variously referred to as the rod of God, the rod of Moses, and Aaron’s rod.We will return to this momentarily.

It must have been a spectacle wherever he went.

As described by Luke (7:34):

“The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.”

What the Son of Man was eating and drinking is our question.

We know Jesus turned water into wine. What most don’t know is that ‘wine’ is now viewed by academics and researchers as the perfect beverage to be fortified with psychotropic ingredients to create a profound religious experience in which the participants saw the gods, communed with them, and even could become them.

The key point to remember, notes Brian Muraresku in the fountain of living waters that is his book The Immortality Key, it is not really wine like we consume today, it is a potion or a sacrament. Evidence from the Near East now shows that herbs, resins, and other plant additives were mixed into wine for at least three thousand years before the birth of Christianity to increase its psychoactive profile. It continued with Jesus. It continues today.

One such researcher, cited by Muraresku, is Andrew Koh, an Archeochemist at MIT, believes that smoking-gun evidence for psychedelic wine is going to be found in the Galilee, the birthplace of Jesus. The prized wine from this ancient Napa, as Muruesku describes it, was exported to Egypt, as evidenced by the work of Patrick McGovern. Apparently, mystical knowledge of wine — or most certainly of grapes — was in Jesus’s DNA.

BACK TO BREAD

From Matthew and Luke we learn Jesus and his disciples were headed to Bethsaida, a desolate, or deserted place (Mark 6:31; Luke 9:10).

As told in all four gospels (Matthew 14:13-21, Mark 6:35-44, Luke 9:12-17, John 6:1-15) Jesus miraculously fed 5,000 people (not counting women and children, meaning it could have been thousands upon thousands more) who had been following him by multiplying five loaves of bread and two fish.

Any educated person, especially a Jew, at the time of Jesus would know that this event alludes to the miracle of manna performed by Moses (Exodus 16:1-36). Moses told the Israelites this was the bread that God had promised. It rained from the sky for months. The Israelites ate it and said it tasted like “wafers made with honey” (Exodus 16:31) or “cakes baked with oil” (Numbers 11:8).

Yum.

John 6:22-24 describes the aftermath of this miraculous feeding.

And then says,“our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness: as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat’ (John 6:31).

The ‘them’ are the 5,000…plus.

Wait a minute.

Is this saying Jesus had 5,000 plus people feeding on the heaven sent bread, as in the miraculous, heaven-sent psychoactive manna? Did 5,000 plus people simultaneously experience the glorious Son of Man?

What if the answer is yes?

In Matthew: 23-46, the Jewish elders confronted Jesus in the synagogue at Capernaum and demanded to know by what authority (exousia) he acts.

For them, the fact that Jesus was producing manna was prophetic. It raises hair raising questions like from where the actual fuck did he get it? No one had seen manna for hundreds of years. The high priests kept it a closely guarded item.

In Exodus 16:33-34, Moses was directed to place an omer of manna in a jar on permanent display in front of the Ark of the Covenant in the tabernacle as a reminder to the Israelites. Only the priests had access to it.The Lord spoke to Moses inside the Tabernacle from the Ark of the Covenant. A cloud, the glory of the Lord, filled the place.

According to Jewish tradition, this magical honey-dripped substance — manna —  suddenly disappeared after the Israelites were driven into exile in Babylon and the Temple of Solomon was destroyed in 576 B.C.

During this time the Ark of the Covenant, and its component parts, the rod of Aaron, the tablets of the law, the cruze of anointing oil and the jar of manna also disappeared. (With them went the worship of the Divine Feminine as these were her ‘things’, ‘tools’, ‘devises’).

There was a strong Rabbinic belief that when the Messiah came he would rain manna from heaven once again. This was the great work of the master Moses. Now the Jewish leaders were demanding that Jesus produce this celestial substance as proof to his claim to be the Messiah.

It seems as if he did so with the feeding of the 5,000 plus.

As I previously discussed, manna is also a component of the Etimasia, the Throne of Christ, which is interpreted as the ‘sign’ of the Son of Man. As I have proposed, it is the fully assembled Ark of the Covenant. A crystal chunk of manna was placed before this throne. The presence of the manna would have suggested to the elders the presence of the entire Etimasia. (That’s another story.)

THE MANNA (DIS)COURSE

Jesus responded to the rabbi’s challenge with his discourse on the bread of life in which he disclosed that it was not Moses who manufactured this manna substance, but God.

Jesus said (and please read slowly, out loud):

51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

52 Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”

53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.

54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

55 For my flesh is True/real food and my blood is True/real drink.

56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.

57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.

58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.”

59 He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.

Jesus is very direct. He is offering his flesh and blood. It is called the Son of Man.

Eating the flesh of the Son of Man and drinking his blood provides eternal life. It is the “True Food” or “Real Food” — manna — and the “True Drink” or “Real Drink.”

Jesus says “those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life” (John 6:54) and “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes has eternal life” (John 6:47). “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them (John 6:56).

The verbs are present tense. This is not in some future time. It is here and now.

Jesus holds the Son of Man.

When sitting at Jesus’s table, and the manna course comes around, you eat the Son of Man, and Christ, the Son of Man, is in you. As it metabolizes you suddenly are on Christ’s ladder. He is there waiting.

This is a profound example of quantum entanglement and the effect of the specific psychoactive substance within the Son of Man. Entanglement says that once two particles or photons are connected they are always connected. A change in state of one simultaneously changes the state of the other. By this means the Son of Man could tweak human consciousness.

The manna is the psychoactive mechanism by which Christ enters our body and by which we become Christ, the anointed ones.

Entanglement is explicitly described in 1 John 2:27:

“As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit; just as it has taught you, remain in him.”

This star food is an aid in seeing not only the (rainbow) Glory of God, but also the Son of Man…within our selves.

More, this bread of life came from heaven (Orion means ‘light of heaven’) and will return from heaven.

“And then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” Mathew 24:27

It seems that the hallucinogenic Son of Man food / drink helps the initiates to see the Son of Man in heaven.

More, it sounds like a collective psychedelic experience.

‘All the tribes’ will see it together.

Just like the thousands upon thousands of thousands who ate the bread together and saw Christ.

This bread is referred to again in Revelation 2:17.

Jesus says: “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth (it). (For more on this ‘stone’ please see Awakening the Pearl.

It is beyond clear that Jesus possessed a technique for bringing, and giving, this miraculous substance – the (hallucinogenic) white Son of Manna flakes and the stone or snow-like crystal — out of the Milky Way. He can open the heavens and bring to Earth a supply of this pure food. He is further stating that he is the embodiment of this substance. He becomes the Son of Man ladder to heaven.

He awaits us there.
