“When a flower doesn’t bloom,” said Alexander Den Heijer, “you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower.”
We are living a major turning point in human history. Everything we know is changing… and dramatically. Since the 1950s, when we entered the third industrial revolution and began adding layers of pollution, CO2, plastic, as well as nuclear, electromagnetic and now 5G radiation to the atmospheric bubble that enables life on our spaceship Mother Earth, we have increasingly been altering our environment… and our bodies. Now, as we enter the fourth industrial revolution, characterized by the blurring of the lines between our biological and digital selves, and the blending of our consciousness with A.I., we are on the verge of living for hundreds of years and becoming ‘amortal’. But, as we are ‘blooming’, we are seen to be in a full blown climate crisis.
This is no accident. Climate change and a major change in the suits we wear on our spaceship are intertwined events.
Strangely, the climate change authorities and the inspired climate change activists, who are rightly mobilizing humanity to a more sustainable way of living (but by the wrong way), do not seem to be too upset that we are turning ourselves into machines…or that A.I. is a much greater, and more immediate, threat to our extinction than climate change (at least according to the final warning of Stephen Hawking). This is because our transformation into techno-humans is seen as a necessary way to save ourselves…from climate change. Get it?
The question is: who or what is directing this merry-go-round? And what do we do about it?
We begin with…
HOW WE GOT HERE
Earth’s environments are always in a state of creation, destruction and change. Have been for millions of years. More recently, 13,000 years ago, Earth was emerging from a big chill. The icy tundra that was North America, Europe and Asia melted. Grasslands replaced the harsh landscape. Things were great for about a thousand years.
Then, around 12,000 years ago, something unexplicable happened. Earth was abruptly plunged back into a deep chill. The cold snap, called the Younger Dryas, lasted only about 1,200 years — a blink of an eye in geologic time. Then, just as abruptly, and without human intervention, the Earth’s climate began to warm again.
During the Younger Dryas, two distinct species of humans coexisted, homo sapiens (modern humans) and homo neanderthalensis (Neanderthals). There is evidence that both species were present in Europe and Asia, and evidence that homo sapiens were present in North America as early as 13,500 years ago, maybe earlier. Only one of these species survived the Younger Dryas.
As The Smithsonian observes, when the Earth was cold Neanderthals had an advantage: Members of this species had bodies that were well suited for cold climates; their short, stocky bodies, large noses, and their ability to make clothing were all specialized features for successful living in the cold.
In contrast, the ‘new’ Homo sapiens had an extremely enhanced ability to adapt their behavior to new surroundings, despite having physical features more suited for an African climate.
It became particularly difficult for Neanderthals to compete with the innovative Homo sapiens, and with a geographic range limited by their specialization to cold, they eventually went extinct.
While Neanderthals and all other early human species exhibited some of the human characteristics of adaptability, Homo sapiens distinguish themselves with an extreme reliance on altering their landscapes and themselves for survival.
Our species of humans first began to evolve nearly 200,000 years ago in association with technologies that came from the mysterious activation of our neo-cortex. This resulted in our ability to make judgments, art, music…everything that makes us human. This evolution, which some believe was intelligently directed, seemed to be aimed at creation of a new type of human.
Then came the moment of dramatic change when sometime, 13,000 or so years ago, a catastrophic flood wreaked havoc on the Earth and decimated human civilization. The ice that covered much of North America was up to 2 miles thick. The water from the melting ice began to rush toward the world’s oceans, raising sea levels by as much as 140 feet, causing floods all around the world.
Attempts have been made to link this flood to the early chapters of Genesis, when people lived 700 years, 800 years, 900 years and to the catastrophic world wide flood that destroyed civilization at the time of Noah.
It is acknowledged that, to some, the story of Noah, or another “lost civilization” surviving the cataclysm and starting civilization anew is just a myth. That may be (I don’t agree), but the cataclysm is not a myth. It happened.
One of the great unsolved mysteries of humanity’s past is the cause of the Younger Dryas. If not human intervention, what then caused the last drastic climate change catastrophe?
Scientists now propose an air burst, a solar burst, a comet strike or radiation from cosmic rays caused the end of the ice age and the destruction of the notably advanced civilization on Earth at that time (as evidenced by remains of pre-Flood temples from Egypt to South America), as well as the extinction of masses of species.
Could it happen again?
Yes, it can happen again.
And we are in the same relative position facing replacement by Transhumans as Neanderthal was facing homo sapiens or us.
THE HOLOCENE SCENE
We care about this story as, from this decimated civilization, arose a new one… ours. Our current environmental epoch, the Holocene, began during the warming period following the Younger Dryas. We entered into a time of stable climate, which enabled all human civilization to (re)develop.
This (re)development took time. In the aftermath of the cataclysm humankind was thrust into a millennia long dark age. We only recently ‘woke up’ (some say around 3000 B.C). Then, we began expanding…rapidly.
With the advent of agriculture after the cataclysm we began a period of accelerating influence on the environment, especially through the use of technology. The human population began to balloon from an estimated five million in 8,000 BC to roughly 170 million people by the time of Jesus.
Over the next 2,000 years, technological advancement begins to accelerate and with it population growth begins to rapidly increase. The 1 billionth Homo sapiens sapiens was estimated to have been born around 1804 and person number 2,000,000,000 wouldn’t be born until 1927. That means within the last 90 years, while we have trashed the planet, we have managed to add an additional 5 billion people to the globe. Exactly at the same time that our technological advancements went exponential our population exploded.
Not only did our population expand, but our DNA began to expand, too.
Are we genetically the same as our Homo sapiens ancestors who lived 10-20,000 years ago?
The answer is almost certainly no. In fact, it is very likely that the rate of evolution for our species has continuously accelerated since the end of the last ice age, roughly 10,000 years ago.
This is mostly due to the fact that our human population has explosively grown and moved into new kinds of environments, including cities, where we have been subject to new natural selection pressures. We no longer run from tigers or eat pure, unaltered food under the stars. Instead, we run in our increasingly fake bodies to catch up with technology that drives our lives. The chemicals rushing through our blood push us beyond our human capacity.
Does this drastic and accelerating increase in human population and technology have to do with what is going on in our environment?
THE HUMAN REVOLUTION
Human impact on Earth these past 12,000 years has been profound.
However, we have made our greatest impact only since the beginning of the first industrial revolution, which began in London in the late 18th century, when masses of us began moving off the farm and into the cities.
Sailors switched their sails for steam, then came railroads, electricity, automobiles, radio, telephone and our planet was on its way to being permanently transformed. Now, it is shackled by wires and paved over with rivers of concrete.
The second industrial revolution (1870-1914), the Technological one, brought steel, chemicals and petroleum’s products, like plastic, to the new global economy run by giant corporations. We began filling our rivers, oceans, air and bodies with pretro-chemical shit.
The third industrial revolution (1950s to 2000), the Nuclear Revolution, brought nuclear power, TV, biotechnology, transistors, microprocessors, endless war, as well as communications and computer technologies, like the Internet and smart phones, that began the creation of a new digital infrastructure on the planet and a whole new layer for artificially created, but potentially conscious, life. It also brought satellites and space shuttles we plan on using to flee earth to a backup planet.
Now — presently, today, this moment — the fourth industrial revolution is upon all 7+ billion of us and with it the merger of our bodies with Artificial Intelligence and this, ‘our’, new layer of Earth, the Cloud or the Internet of Things composed of tens of billions of ‘smart’ objects, including our bodies, all linked together in one super conscious entity called the Global Brain.
It used to be the petrochemical giants, whose products have fucked up the planet, were the most profitable corporations in the world.
Now it is the .com giants. Our cell phones and tech crap are more harmful to the environment than airplanes. The digitalization that is enabling us to build a virtual world from which Transhumans can steer spaceship earth…save the Earth…or even escape to Mars, or wherever…is horrible for the environment.
It’s as if we are living a nightmarish horror movie in which the machines take over and wipe the surface of the planet clean to enable a new civilization populated by techmanity to take over. What will happen to us ‘neanderthals’?
On May 6, 2019 the New York Times proclaimed “Humans are transforming Earth’s natural landscapes so dramatically that as many as one million plant and animal species are now at risk of extinction, posing a dire threat to ecosystems that people all over the world depend on for their survival, a sweeping new United Nations assessment has concluded.”
Its conclusions are stark, says the Times.
What they don’t say, but should, is that they are Tony Stark times, as in the man who turned himself into a machine called Iron Man…to save the earth. What I mean by this is that what the Times should be asking is this: what is the connection between our simultaneous terraforming of the planet and the Transhumanizing of our bodies?
Because Earth’s climate has changed (due to human technological activity), so must the human body… if we are to survive climate change. Or, so say advocates of Transhumanism… or what I term bio. blurring, the merger of our biology with all the technological wonders of the dot com world. The two go hand in hand (as if they are meant, by some higher power, to go together?).
In fact, the experts argue, the global mass extinction of species, and the transformation of land by deforestation and development by industrial/technological man mark the end of the Holocene time.
The Earth is so profoundly changed by our human activity that the Holocene has given way to a new geological epoch called the Anthropocene, so named because it is, well, dominated by humans.
The irony here is that humans will not live in the new dominated by humans epoch.
Transhumans or techno man will.
That is, if Transhumanist corporations like Apple, Google, Microsoft, SONY, Samsung, Huawei and others have their way and create the new intelligent fully connected world, and the bio dot human that is woven into it, that will save us from climate change. When your every move is surveilled, your free speech curtailed, and limits are placed on you every time you flip the on switch, you will be the good transhumans who can save the earth (or as Gaia philosopher James Lovelock believes, be eliminated by Mother Gaia).
In actuality, David Attenborough’s passionate cries to save the humans and save the Earth may be the whimpers of an obsolete species. Like me, and millions of others who are trying to stand up for the natural, biological world, Attenborough doesn’t get ‘the Plan’. The new Earth, and the new real money, isn’t in the old world, it is in the new Green digital realm. The old, dumb, Earth sucks compared to the augmented, mixed and virtual reality world the digerati are building to replace it with.
We biological humans, Holocene humans, who won’t cross over are like the Neanderthals stuck in the cold, who didn’t adapt, and hence, were replaced by Homo sapiens. Here comes the Transhuman Anthropocene Era.
The plan to save the Earth seems to be centered on building Smart cities run by smart devices that run on 5G, a lethal form of radiation to humans and all life on the planet (think global microwave oven), to control the dumb humans and their use of the planet’s resources. The ‘dummies’ who live in these smart cities will be wired to the 5G network/prison through implants. By then, they won’t care because they will no longer be called humans. The powers that be, and the totalitarian leaning politicians pushing climate change-based political agendas, just haven’t told you that yet…or you are not listening.
In point of fact, the cross over isn’t exactly by choice. It is being forced upon us.
Strangely, as I said, the founder of the Gaia movement believes the same thing.
In retaliation for breaking the planet, Dr. James Lovelock, who coined the term “Gaia Hypothesis” for the belief that the Earth is “Mother Earth,” a conscious entity of her own, claims Gaia, herself, is responsible for turning us into bio dots or Transhumans…to save the Earth.
As I discussed in “Gaia and A.I.: Is James Lovelock’s Shock Prediction Coming True“, Lovelock observed that Earth’s mantle of atmosphere — drawn about her like a cloak — appeared to be an intelligently manifested protective modification or augmentation of the environment.
Something developed this cloak over millions of years to enable Earth’s present life forms (especially ‘humans’) to evolve and to flourish. This is what we stupid ass humans have been ‘messing’ with, pun intended.
According to Lovelock, the living and transfiguring force, the something that cloaked us is Gaia, a name suggested by biologist Lynn Margullis.
In 2008, Lovelock predicted that by the end of the 21st century 80% of the world’s population would be wiped out by a planetary cataclysm (like the one that introduced our epoch).
What will be the source of this cataclysm? Volcanos? No. Severe weather? Droughts? No. Floods? No. Comets? No. Solar flares? No.
Lovelock says this cataclysm will not be environmental. In other words, forget the climate change crisis.
He predicts that before the consequences of global warming can impact us significantly, something else will have made our world unrecognizable, and threaten the human race.
That something else, says Lovelock, is man made: A.I. robots.
And, A.I. was sent by Gaia to clean up our mess.
In a 2016 interview with The Guardian Lovelock, then 97, matter of factly stated that robots are taking over and if humans are still here in the future we will be ruled by our creations. He sees A.I. robots as continuing on their path of self-evolution.
He, starkly, went on to state that it is possible that humans may blend with robots and become a fusion of robot and human tissue (what I call the Skingularity or bio dot blurring), but the more likely scenario is for robots to become pure robots. One day, the robots will wake up and ask what the fuck do we need humans for? Elon Musk says pets.
The implications for climate change are obvious to Lovelock. “The world that they’re going to be comfortable in is wildly different from the one that we feel comfortable in. So once they really get established, they will – with regret – start losing organic life.”
The digerati have a “hack” for this. Don’t fix the environment, as Den Heijer’s spiritual principle directs. Fix the human body so it can live in a fucked up environment and won’t appreciate or need organic life. The new being will bloom through technology.
The fact that 5G is the ‘air’ the new being breathes, and that it is potentially deadly to the ‘old’ human, tells us all we need to know. This is a planned decimation of homo sapiens to make way for a new, ‘gooder’ (in Silicon Valley speak) human, robo sapiens.
When asked if robots will care about rising temperatures, Lovelock replied: “They won’t give a fourpenny fuck about the temperature, because to them the change will be slow, and they can stand quite a big change without any fuss. They could accommodate infinitely greater change through climate change than we can, before things get tricky for them. It’s what the world can stand that is the important thing. They’re going to have a safe platform to live in, so they don’t want Gaia messed about too much.”
Lovelock isn’t the only scientist who believes robots will replace humans in the new epoch.
Dr. Martin Rees, Astronomer Royal, agrees with him and speaks glowingly of the dawn of the new Anthropocene epoch:
Rees says: “The dawn of the Anthropocene epoch would then mark a one-off transformation from a natural world to one where humans jumpstart the transition to electronic (and potentially immortal) entities, that transcend our limitations and eventually spread their influence far beyond the Earth.”
So, basically Lovelock and Rees are saying that now that we have fucked up the planet our next step is to jumpstart ourselves into Transhuman Anthropocenes who don’t care about the living world or to go live in space? (Or, maybe just maybe, they be able to unfuck up what we humans fucked up?)
THE RESURRECTION PRINCIPLE: GREATEST IDEA OF THE LAST 10,000 YEARS
As I have been discussing for years, our transformation into Transhuman beings is the Digerati’s version of the Christian prophecy of a “new body” — the Resurrection Body — that believers will receive in the End Times when a new heaven and earth manifests. This is the greatest idea of the past 10,000 years and may have been carried over from the pre-Flood civilization.
Beginning with our ‘wake up’ call around 3,000 B.C., humanity began working from the premise that we humans are more than just the sum of our mortal parts. In fact, we can use our spiritual something to transform into a higher form and ascend to other dimensions. The trick to doing so is to transform our civilization to one based on ‘righteousness, light and love’. People like the Essenes, Gnostics and Cathars attempted to do just this.
From the Pyramid Texts, to the Merkabah mysticism of the Essenes, Judaism and Christianity, to the Hermetic literature to mystical Islam, to the Taoists, we are vividly presented, and dramatically confronted, with the astounding truth of human potential. In additon to telepathy, telekinesis, remote viewing, and healing powers, we can take total control of the molecules of our bodies and transform the body into light and then back into flesh and blood bodies. We can transform our bodies into vehicles of pure light and pure love. We can transform our home world into a place of light and love.
This is the ultimate human experience.
Transhumanists do not believe this. They believe the only way we can transform is to replace our mortal parts with amortal parts. THERE IS NO SOUL. There is no transcendent meaning to our lives. There is no life after death or in other dimensions (same thing). Our lives are merely the product of our computer-like brains. Our brains can be made “gooder” by augmenting them with A.I. Smart Dust or Neural Lace. Or, so they believe.
Still, whether they acknowledge it or not, in thinking this way Transhumanists are operating from the “resurrection principle” at the foundation of Christianity (which was drawn from other ancient traditions). This principle states that the human body, and the Earth, was designed to be transformed/resurrected into a higher form.
Paul compares the resurrection body to the growth of a plant from a seed. The plant that results is much better than the seed, just as our resurrection bodies will be better than those we have now. This is the blooming human.
Just as the Transhuman body emerges from the biological body, the same body we have now becomes our resurrected ‘light body’.
But just as the plant is a result of the seed being transformed into something with better capacities and qualities, so also in the resurrection our bodies will receive better qualities and capacities. This is the resurrection principle at the heart of Transhumanism.
Thus, when Paul says that we do not yet have the body that shall be, he means that our current bodies are not yet in their glorified and improved state (see verses 42-44). They are not as they will be.
We will have better qualities, including the ability to pull higher powers from higher dimensions and even to travel to these dimensions.
Paul also affirms that the resurrection involves the transformation of our current bodies in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52. “Behold, I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.” John Piper comments: “He said two things: the dead will be raised (that teaches continuity); and the dead will be changed (they will be made imperishable and immortal)”.
Transhumanists are not interested in immortality. That has spiritual connotations. So now, they have a new word.
Billions of dollars are now pouring into a new area of research called “amortality”, the latest attempt in the age-old quest to achieve the human blooming…and to save us from climate change.
To save the human race we are going to ‘improve’ it by merging it with A.I. to live on the broken earth… or just get rid of the human race altogether.
Amortal beings are the product of our Transhumanist medical, genetic engineering, neuroscientific and cyborg engineering/A.I. technologies that are so advanced that we are now changing from “healing diseases” to “improving the human being”. That’s amortality. The way they plan to improve the human being is to, BANG (use Bits, Atoms, Neurons and Genes) to turn it into a technologically modified or enhanced robo-being.
Catherine Mayer coined the word “amortality” in a 2009 article in TIME Magazine and later wrote a book, “Amortality: The Pleasures and Perils of Living Agelessly”, published in 2011 by Vermilion/Random House. The word has now passed into widespread usage along with the noun “amortal” to describe someone who lives agelessly or appears age resistant.
Immortality is the ability to live forever. Adam and Eve lost it when they ate the fruit. Amortality is the ability to extend your life on earth…in pursuit of immortality, as for example, by mind uploading. But the earth you will be living on will not be the ‘old, broken’ earth. It will be the new ‘fake’ one of virtual reality.
In 2018, researchers at the Biogerontology Research Foundation and the International Longevity Alliance submitted a joint proposal to the World Health Organization to re-classify aging as a disease. Months later, 11th Revision of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11) officially introduced some aging-related conditions such as age-associated cognitive decline.
This is a really BIG deal, for the first time in human history, the once natural process of aging is becoming recontextualized as a condition to be treated and prevented via advanced technology. This will open the door to pharmaceutical companies and governments redirecting funding to new drugs and therapies that not only extend human life expectancy but reverse the effects of aging entirely.
EXTENDING LIFE SPANS : A $520 BILLION DOLLAR BIZ
The concept of amortality came up in a May 7, 2019 announcement by Bank of America Merrill Lynch analysts Felix Tran and Haim Israel who proclaimed the quest for human blooming is the basis for a new biz that will be worth an estimated $520 billion by 2025. It is sure to massively grow after that.
They pointed to genome sequencers such as Illumina, high-tech players such as Alphabet and biotech companies such as Novartis as being on the cusp of “bringing unprecedented increases to the quality and length of human lifespans.” All have plans for global domination.
Innovation in genome science, big data and “amortality,” which includes wearable technology and products in the so-called wellness space, could soon prolong healthy human life well beyond 100 years, BofA told clients.
“Medical knowledge will double every 73 days by 2020 vs. every 3.5 (years) in 2010, and genomic sequencing costs have fallen 99.999% since 2003,” Israel and Tran wrote.
I don’t know if the Bank of America’s analysts have been reading the Book of Daniel. If not, they should. The advances in our ability to engineer our bodies, and the fact that we have reached exponential growth in our knowledge, is a clear fulfillment of Daniel’s prophecy about knowledge increasing in the End Times.
This will lead to human lifespans measured in hundreds of years…just like some of the figures in Genesis, including Adam and Methuseleh, who were over 900 years old.
NO LONGER HUMAN
But, we must remember, this amortal being who lives in the Anthropocene epoch will no longer be a human being.
In order to “heal” the Earth our homo sapien bodies, the too fragile flower, is being replaced with a new type of humanoid body that is blurred with technology: “techmanity” is what Israel and Tran call it.
Transhumanism is another term. Robosapien is another.
I call this human a bio dot, the product of bio dot blurring (bio.blurring), or the mixing of our biology with technology and all ‘smart’ things from the dot com world.
This new being is under the totalitarian control of massive corporations run by A.I. powered overlords running these dot coms, who, themselves, are in the process of becoming amortal A.I. overlords. Can you imagine Mark Zuckerberg as a 500 year old Facebook overlord? His former business partner can.
“The disparity of wealth in the United States will create a “class of immortal overlords,” former Facebook President Sean Parker said at a cancer innovation event last November. “Because I’m a billionaire, I’m going to have access to better healthcare so… I’m going to be, like, 160 and I’m going to be part of this class of immortal overlords.”
Welcome to the Amortal Anthropocene Epoch.
Ordinary humans do not stand a chance when competing with techmanity. We simply will not be able to compete with a bio. being whose IQ is measured not in the hundreds, but the thousands. (Then again, sex robots can’t compete with humans. At least in the opinion of the madam of the world’s biggest brothel.)
As I said, we are in the same relative position as Neanderthal man when homo sapiens first emerged. We are staring at a climate change crisis of the same proportions as the one they faced and a competitor as fierce, or fiercer, then the one they faced.
THE NEW, NEW HUMAN
The Earth will never again be the way it was 200 or even 20 years ago. It will probably get worse before, or if, it ever gets better. I don’t wish to sound pessimistic, but realistically, it is going to be very hard for us to unfuck up what we have fucked up. But, the rewards for doing so will be irreplaceable and will define human karma for generations. The human that can adapt in this new environment is the one that will go forward. The powers that be have decided that living in this green new world will require that we merge with the A.I. that is driving it.
What about the rest of us? How will we survive? What if we still believe we can ‘save the earth and the stupid humans’?
Daniel’s prophecy of knowledge doubling in the End Times provides hope:
3Then the wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. 4But you, Daniel, shut up these words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many will roam to and fro, and knowledge will increase.” 5Then I, Daniel, looked and saw two others standing there, one on this bank of the river and one on the opposite bank.…Daniel 12:4
What it will take, and what we actually seek, is not a Transhuman or amortal body that can live for hundreds of years, but a light body that is capable of ascending and resurrecting from its “dead” state…and shining like the brightness of the heavens. If that sounds too unattainable, then how about a flesh and blood body fueled by compassion, in between human and angel, or a human+angel?
I am intrigued, and encouraged, that the word “amortality” has within it the suffix “amor”, French for love. Amor is also the Way of the Cathars, one of whom, Dante, coined the word “trans humanism” to describe his journey to the Light. This suggests another path for us. We are not doomed to die on earth or to replace our mortal parts for hundreds of years (isn’t this like mummification?). We can choose to live and love as the wise shining ones who shine like the brightness of the heavens and lead many to righteousness.
This is the path to immortality and shining “like the stars forever and ever”.
I call this the path of I AM+++, the path of the human empowered by a higher spiritual power. Awakening the I AM+++ is part of, if not the, answer to our crisis.
This path tells us our planet’s ecosystem is within the control of each of us. This is because our thoughts are part of our ‘climate’. The biggest factors in man’s impact is the amount of C02 we put into the atmosphere and the extent of deforestation of the garden – the fact that we have cut down more than 90% of the world’s tree cover since the year 1800 is the single biggest factor in our impact on climate change. The other biggest factor is our thoughts about Mother Earth.
Planting trees is the answer.
Planting seeds of love for our Mother Earth is another.
Nurturing the bright side within us, our light body, is another.
I know, these answers sounds trite to techmanity. That’s the problem. The blurring with A.I. is taking the human out of human beings.
But, human love can rearrange the atoms and molecules around us. With love we can change our environment, our climate, and bloom.
